After weeks of uncertainty, regulatory hurdles, and logistical challenges, the green light is finally on for the most anticipated winter event in Monaco: the 94th Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo, kicking off the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season.
The Automobile Club de Monaco has meticulously crafted a route that honors tradition while introducing exciting new stages. After reconnaissance runs from January 18 to 20, the action begins with the Shakedown in Gap on January 21 (4.8 km), marking the city’s return to the spotlight after 2014–2021.
From January 22 to 25, the rally will take drivers through Provence, the Alps, and the French Riviera, featuring high-adrenaline stages: the triple challenge across Drôme and Hautes-Alpes, the demanding La Bréole/Bellaffaire debut, and the much-anticipated return of the night super-special on the Monaco Circuit (absent since 2008). The grand finale on Sunday, January 25, will feature the legendary Col de Braus / La Cabanette and La Bollène-Vésubie / Moulinet stages, ending with the Wolf Power Stage before the closing ceremony on Port Hercule at 5:00 PM.
More than just a race, the Monte-Carlo Rally is a cultural and sporting icon, a celebration of skill, resilience, and speed that transforms the Principality into the beating heart of world motorsport.
