Summer Begins with a Beat: June in Monaco Is Bursting with Music, Ideas, and Celebration

As the sunshine returns, Monaco comes alive. June marks the start of the summer season with a vibrant lineup of concerts, festivals, cultural gatherings, and family fun. Whether you’re a music lover, a culture seeker, or simply looking to enjoy the energy of the season, there’s something for everyone. Here’s your full guide to what’s happening this month in the Principality.

🎧 Music Takes Center Stage

On June 21, Port Hercule will light up with the sounds of DJ Mosimann during Monaco’s Fête de la Musique. But the beat starts earlier: on June 4, a jam session at the Marché de la Condamine sets the tone.

Classical music fans can enjoy the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, performing on June 5, 8, 10, 15, and 22 at the Rainier III Auditorium and Maison de France (with a tribute to Ravel on the 10th).

On June 28 at 7:00 PM, the Be Witness Christian music group performs at Place du Campanin, in a concert organized by the Diocese. Discounted tickets are available online.

Prefer music with a sea breeze? Head to La Note Bleue’s Summer Music Festival — live concerts every weekend on the Larvotto beach throughout June.

Unmissable Events and Special Guests

From June 13 to 17, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival celebrates its 64th edition. Fans can enjoy a free fanzone and, for those seeking VIP moments, “OMG” passes offer private meet-and-greets with stars.

On June 20, two of the world’s most celebrated chefs, Alain Ducasse and Albert Adrià, will present a six-course fine dining experience at Le Louis XV for the Festival des Étoilés. Price: €750 per person, wine pairing included.

🧠 Philosophy, Cinema & Thoughtful Moments

From June 10 to 15, the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco celebrates its 10th anniversary with a week devoted to the theme of “Truth” — including morning discussions, panels, and a special evening on June 19 with Gad Elmaleh and Mouloud Achour at Théâtre Princesse Grace.

On June 5, the Monaco Audiovisual Institute hosts a retrospective screening of amateur films created by early local filmmakers. Tickets are €5; reservations recommended.

🧒 Fun and Creativity for Kids

The Bricks Académie returns to Espace Léo Ferré on June 14–15, for children ages 8 to 12 who live or attend school in Monaco. The mission? Save the world with LEGO, dressed as your favorite superhero!

That same weekend, Place du Palais welcomes the 6th Meeting of Historic Grimaldi Sites, with games, crafts, performances, and cultural exhibits for all ages. The event opens with a speech by Prince Albert II and ends with a spectacular sound and light show on Saturday night.

🌿 Sustainability & Eco-Spirit

The Green Shift Festival, from June 4 to 6, brings three free evenings of eco-conscious events to the Larvotto Promenade. Organized by the Prince Albert II Foundation, this creative festival blends art, music, and environmental commitment. Highlights include:

  • “Welcome to 2050” (June 4): an immersive ecological vision of the future

  • “At the Heart of the Living” (June 5): celebrating nature’s richness

  • “Music & Ecology” (June 6): a night of sound and sustainability

On June 6, the Munegu Repair Café invites you to bring in broken items to be repaired for free at the Marché de la Condamine (2:30–6:30 PM).

🏺 A Glimpse into the Past

On June 15, the Museum of Anthropology opens its doors for European Archaeology Days, with guided tours, workshops, and expert meetups. A free (but reservation-required) chance to discover ancient history through a modern lens.
