Nice’s theatre scene in the spotlight: local companies head to Avignon

For the fourteenth consecutive year, the city of Nice renews its commitment to local theatre with an initiative that combines passion, professionalism, and a European vision: Les Compagnies sur le Pont. This project serves as a true springboard for seven companies from Nice’s artistic scene, selected to take part in the renowned Festival Off d’Avignon 2025, one of the most important and dynamic events in European contemporary theatre.

In preparation for this major cultural event, from June 4 to 14, Nice will host a series of exclusive previews at the Francis-Gag Theatre and the Lino-Ventura Theatre, transforming the city into a mini Avignon with performances showcasing the energy and quality of local productions.


The selected companies for the 2025 Avignon Festival Off:
