Antibes: An Autumn of Art, Music and Tradition

With the arrival of September, the city of Antibes opens the autumn season with a rich calendar of events blending art, music, and tradition, accompanying residents and visitors until the early months of 2026.

September 6 – 21: Spirituality and Sacred Music

The month begins with the 34th Festival of Sacred Art, which from September 6 to 21 brings concerts, recitals, and choirs to the churches and cultural spaces of Antibes. A musical journey spanning from the Baroque period to contemporary works, enhancing the unique atmosphere and acoustics of the city’s places of worship.

September 13 – 14: Ceramics and Minerals

The second weekend of September offers a double event celebrating craft and matter.

  • At Les Espaces du Fort Carré, the 13th Mineral Event Antibes showcases the world of minerals and precious stones.

  • Meanwhile, Place des Martyrs de la Résistance hosts the Ceramics Market, a chance to discover artisans and unique creations.

September: Major Exhibitions

Alongside musical and craft events, Antibes also becomes a capital of visual arts with numerous temporary exhibitions:

  • Fondation Hans Hartung et Anna-Eva Bergman: Les Paysages intérieurs d’Hartung & Bergman (until September 26).

  • Musée Picasso – Château Grimaldi: Hommage à Arman and Bernar Venet, peinture rationnelle, sculpture incontrôlée (until September 28).

  • Musée Peynet et du Dessin humoristique: Dickie à Antibes, dedicated to Joost Swarte’s satirical character (until September 28).

  • Casemate Comte: En escale (until September 29).

  • Casemate 19: Le Fil Rouge (until September 29).

Late September – October: Art and Nature

The end of the month marks the beginning of two exhibitions continuing through October:

  • Les Arcades: Mémoire Animale, a reflection on the relationship between humans and nature (until October 4).

  • Casemates 25 and 26: Terre Mer, exploring the dialogue between earth and sea (until October 11).

In addition, Transartcafé (6 Rue du Dr Rostan) hosts an exhibition running until October 11.

October: The Power of Color

In the heart of Vieil Antibes, along Boulevard d’Aguillon, Voyage de la couleur au cœur de l’obscurité explores the expressive potential of contemporary color. Open until October 31, 2025.

Autumn 2025 – Early 2026: A Tribute to Crustaceans

Antibes’ cultural journey concludes at the Musée de la Carte Postale with a unique and playful exhibition: Leurs majestés: homard et langouste. On display until January 21, 2026, it pays tribute to lobsters and crayfish through an iconographic story combining art, gastronomy, and popular culture of the French Riviera.
