Seasonal Reinforcement for Monaco Taxis

As of now, 28 seasonal taxis are being added to the Monaco taxi fleet to meet the influx of the summer season and the major upcoming events that mark the life of the Principality. Selected following the call for applications published in the Journal de Monaco in October 2024, these drivers have been granted a six-month operating license.

This additional fleet is 100% electric to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets. As in previous years, these white, easily identifiable vehicles will operate within city limits (flat rate of €18 without waiting time or traffic) and to nearby towns (flat rate of €25 without waiting time or traffic). In the event of high demand detected by the ride management system, they may also serve trips between Menton and Nice Ville.

During major events in Monaco, they may also be dispatched for bookings to the Airport, Nice Train Station, or downtown Nice throughout the day, and between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. on other days of the season.

The electric fleet will be deployed in three waves:

• 8 seasonal taxis from April 1st to September 30th,

• 10 additional taxis from April 15th to October 15th,

• and another 10 from May 1st to November 1st,
  ensuring full fleet availability between May 1st and September 30th, the busiest period.

To ensure optimal service, 11 eco-taxis will operate at night (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.), and at least 7 of them will be available 24/7 by calling +377 93 15 01 01.
