New Year’s Ceremony of the Public Security Department
The traditional New Year’s Ceremony of the Public Security Department took place this morning, chaired by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, with the presence of the Government Counselor – Minister of the Interior, Lionel BEFFRE, and the highest Monegasque authorities.
The Director of Public Security, Eric ARELLA, appointed last September to lead the 620 men and women who make up the Public Security Department, reviewed the key moments of 2024 and discussed the statistics of a crime rate that remains largely under control in the Principality, as well as the areas for improvement he plans to implement in the coming months.
When addressing his warm wishes to all those present and his staff, Mr. ARELLA also took a moment to honor the memory of H.E. Mr. Minister of State, Didier GUILLAUME.
