International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2025. The MAR of Ventimiglia commemorates the Shoah with Liber Theatrum

The MAR – “Girolamo Rossi” Civic Archaeological Museum, in collaboration with Liber Theatrum and the Municipality of Ventimiglia, is participating in the 2025 “International Holocaust Remembrance Day” commemorations dedicated to the tragedy of the Shoah, with an event scheduled for Saturday, January 25th at 4:30 PM in the evocative underground halls of the Forte dell’Annunziata. The event will feature the theatrical-literary reading performance Al MAR, the long journey of Liber Theatrum in the Shoah, directed by Diego Marangon.

On stage, Caterina Valsecchi, Laura Sibilla, Letizia Zito, Jacqueline Veneziano, Mirella Fazzolari, and Monica Rossi will revisit more than ten years of performances by “Liber Theatrum” dedicated to the Holocaust and the Shoah, as well as other events from World War II. A true journey through what is remembered as the greatest tragedy in modern history.

The event will be introduced, after greetings from the Councillor for Culture Dr. Serena Calcopietro, by Dr. Daniela Gandolfi, Curator of the Museum and Director of the International Institute of Ligurian Studies.
