Weekend Events on the French Riviera in Nice

Exhibition – Jànluc Sauvaigo – The 36 Views of Mont Chauve

From 16/05 to 30/11/2024, daily.

Between 2004 and 2010, Jànluc Sauvaigo illustrated a series of sketches on the “Popular History of Nissan”, set on Mont Chauve, thus creating the 36 views of Mont Chauve.
The first map is inspired by the Japanese painter Hiroshige, while for the others, Jànluc Sauvaigo evokes Hokusai and his famous Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. The author said, ‘I wanted to celebrate a magical place in my own way. And in Nice, Mont Chauve was an obvious choice. It is visible from the Paillon and Var basins, almost everywhere.’

Weekend Events on the French Riviera in Menton

Philosophy Workshop “Little Philosopher”

We often say, “I think that…”; for example, “I think I left my jacket at school.” But is that really the right word? Is thinking in the strict sense, especially when exercised in philosophy, the same as the everyday thinking that accompanies us, more or less spontaneously, in our daily lives? Or is it something else? Together, we will discover what thinking truly is and see that it is far from spontaneous and requires great effort on our part.
