The next edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, an internationally renowned event in the yachting world, will take place from September 25 to 28, 2024.
To host this unmissable event for the boating industry, which has significant economic impacts for the Principality, the installation setup will begin on August 31, 2024.
Since the MYS is concentrated in the Port Hercule area, the main areas affected by restrictions due to the setup of the Show will be Quai des Etats-Unis/Avenue J.F. Kennedy, Route de la Piscine, and Quai Antoine I (from September 9, 2024, for the latter), as well as the different quays of the Port.
Parking bans will be necessary to begin the works, as well as adjustments to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, with occasional full closures on certain days.
However, thanks to constant improvement each year and close cooperation between State Services and the organizers, measures will be implemented to ease traffic flow during peak hours. Temporary relaxations of restrictions will allow for the drop-off of children attending nearby schools, and provisional traffic arrangements will facilitate deliveries.
The same applies to the Route de la Piscine. Its closure to traffic will indeed be necessary for two weeks for the logistical needs of setting up exhibition stands and to ensure the safety of users in an area that will be considered a “construction site” due to these operations. However, it will remain open in the Portier-Quai Antoine I direction during morning peak hours for the entire duration of this period (except on the eve of the Show’s opening and the three days following its closure).
A two-wheel parking area will also be set up starting from the occupation date of Quai Antoine I (September 9, 2024) on Avenue de la Quarantaine.
The spaces will be gradually returned to the public from September 29, 2024, with a return to normal by October 10, 2024.
