On June 18th, Monaco will be one of the prestigious stops on the route of the Olympic Flame for the second time in its history; the first passage took place in 1968, on the occasion of the Winter Olympics in Grenoble.
The Flame will be carried by six torchbearers who will travel, between 2:15 PM and 2:45 PM, the following route: starting from the sculpture of Juan Manuel FANGIO at the beginning of boulevard Albert I, ascending avenue du Port against the traffic, crossing avenue de la Porte Neuve at Place d’Armes, ascending the Rampe Major, arriving at Place du Palais and proceeding to the podium set up in front of the honor gate of the Princely Palace.
The population is invited to come in large numbers to witness and greet the passage of the Olympic Flame, an exceptional event in the Principality.
What impacts on the city and transport on that day?
VEHICLE TRAFFIC The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM:
Regarding the south of the Condamine district, access to Rue de Millo, Rue des Açores, and Rue Saige will allow exit from the market parking lot at Place d’Armes as well as the Condamine parking lot.
PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC Pedestrians will not be able to:
Filter points will be set up along the entire route of the Flame, as well as on the outskirts of Place du Palais to ensure the security of the event.

VEHICLE PARKING The following roads will be closed to parking from Monday, June 17th at 11:00 PM to Tuesday, June 18th at 4:00 PM:
ACCESS TO PUBLIC PARKING LOTS Between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM, motorists will be able to access the parking lots of Quai Antoine Ier, de la Digue, and Chemin des Pêcheurs by following this route: Quai Antoine Ier > Esplanade des Pêcheurs > Tunnel de la Digue, avenue de la Quarantaine. Access to Quai Antoine Ier will remain free and operational:
Exits from these parking lots will follow the reverse routes.
MONACO ON CHARGING STATIONS Only the electric vehicle charging station located on avenue de la Quarantaine will be closed.
CAM URBAN BUS TRAFFIC Due to the event, in addition to the aforementioned road closures, the bus stops at Place d’Armes will not be accessible between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM, except for the «Place d’Armes Charles III» stop. Consequently, the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco informs of the following deviations:

MONABIKE BIKE-SHARING SERVICE The MonaBike electric bike-sharing stations located at Place d’Armes and Place du Palais will be neutralized between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
ZOU! INTERURBAN BUS TRAFFIC Between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM, two lines of the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region bus network will be impacted as follows:
