The festival offers the opportunity to hear musicians and ensembles from a variety of musical backgrounds, with a programme combining live performances, experimentation and international influences. Alongside more traditional jazz, audiences can enjoy soul, funk and Afro-Latin sounds, highlighting the genre’s ability to connect different cultures and musical styles.

Jammin’Juan is more than a concert series: it is also a professional event dedicated to emerging jazz talent. It brings musicians together with festival directors, programmers and event organisers, giving up-and-coming artists the opportunity to present their work to industry professionals.

Around 30 ensembles are expected to take part over the two days, with 14 groups selected for showcases and concerts open to the public. The afternoon sessions allow audiences to discover several artists in succession and explore different musical approaches in just a few hours.

Featured performers include Awa Ly, known for her expressive voice, the Matti Klein Soul Trio, the band Buck and the acoustic duo Jennings-Perchaud. The programme also features the experimental sounds of Knobil and the Anthony Jambon Group.

The showcases are an excellent opportunity for music lovers to discover lesser-known musicians and explore emerging trends in European and international jazz. In the evening, the focus shifts to two headline concerts, both scheduled to begin at 9 pm.

The first evening of Jammin’Juan 2026 takes place on Thursday 29 October at 9 pm, featuring Setenta, a Paris-based band blending Latin jazz, soul and funk.

The group’s sound draws on Afro-Latin rhythms and Afro-Cuban influences, creating an energetic mix of groove and musical exploration that pushes beyond the boundaries of traditional jazz. Their performance is ideal for audiences who enjoy rhythm-driven music and cross-genre collaborations.

Setenta’s appearance reflects the festival’s commitment to projects that use jazz as a starting point for exploring different musical traditions and cultures.

On Friday 30 October, also at 9 pm, the stage will welcome INK, a project led by drummer and composer Victor Gachet.

The ensemble develops a distinctive musical language that brings contemporary jazz and improvisation together with African musical traditions. The project also involves collaborations with artists from Burkina Faso, creating a dialogue between different musical languages and cultural perspectives.

The closing concert offers a glimpse into the possibilities of contemporary jazz, combining rhythmic experimentation, composition and international influences.

For music lovers, Jammin’Juan is an opportunity to visit Juan-les-Pins outside the peak tourist season and discover a cultural side of the French Riviera that extends beyond its beaches and summer events.

The festival appeals both to experienced jazz fans interested in the genre’s latest developments and to curious listeners keen to discover emerging artists and unexpected sounds. With afternoon showcases and evening concerts, visitors can tailor their experience to their interests and schedule.

For anyone staying in Antibes or the surrounding area, Jammin’Juan is a great musical event to include in an autumn weekend on the French Riviera.

Here are the key details for attending the festival.

Afternoon Showcases and Evening Concerts
