Until <strong>31 October 2026<\/strong>, the French Riviera city is hosting the seventh edition of <strong>Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne<\/strong>, an international street art festival that turns walls, fa\u00e7ades and public spaces into an open-air gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2020, the event has become one of the French Riviera\u2019s most distinctive urban art festivals. Its concept is simple yet effective: artists create their works in front of the public, breathing new life into everyday spaces and establishing a direct connection with the city.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is about more than discovering new murals. It offers a different way to experience Antibes, with an artistic trail winding through streets, neighbourhoods and places that are usually far removed from traditional exhibition spaces.<\/p>\n<h2>Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne 2026: An Open-Air Art Gallery in Antibes<\/h2>\n<p>The figures from previous editions highlight the festival\u2019s growth. Since 2020, <strong>189 artistic interventions<\/strong> have been completed, covering a total of <strong>8,685 square metres of painted surfaces<\/strong>, with the participation of <strong>134 artists from 19 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Eight leading figures from the international urban art scene are taking part in the 2026 edition: Ador, Nad\u00e8ge Dauvergne, Difuz, Piero, Debza, Kogaone, Jordan Harang and Gomad. Bringing together different styles and artistic perspectives, they will reinterpret public spaces through images, colours and contemporary visual languages.<\/p>\n<p>The artworks are spread across several locations in Antibes, including rue de l\u2019\u00c9glise, boulevard G\u00e9n\u00e9ral Vautrin, rue Vauban, boulevard du Val Claret, avenue Philippe Rochat, Voie Lyan and rue Henri Laugier. This open-air trail encourages visitors to explore the city beyond its best-known tourist routes.<\/p>\n<h2>The M.U.R. d\u2019Antibes Welcomes Nad\u00e8ge Dauvergne<\/h2>\n<p>One of the festival\u2019s highlights is the return of <strong>M.U.R. d\u2019Antibes<\/strong>, located on rue Miquelis-Raybaud, opposite Guynemer school. Covering 18.2 square metres, this wall is periodically entrusted to a different artist, making it one of the festival\u2019s most dynamic features.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, <strong>Nad\u00e8ge Dauvergne<\/strong> will create the new artwork between 21 and 25 October, under the artistic direction of art historian and curator Cyrille Gouyette.<\/p>\n<p>The project captures one of the festival\u2019s most compelling ideas: public art is not necessarily permanent or unchanging. Instead, it can evolve over time, continually renewing the urban landscape.<\/p>\n<h2>Exhibitions, Artist Talks and Workshops: Festival Highlights<\/h2>\n<p>Street art at Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne extends beyond painted fa\u00e7ades. The programme also includes exhibitions, meetings with artists, workshops, film screenings and guided tours exploring the artworks scattered throughout the city.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>La sChOOL<\/strong>, the exhibition <em>Ici, des artistes ont fait le mur<\/em> returns, featuring works by six artists from the regional urban art scene: Chlo\u00e9 Bernard, Harry James, Indy Saki, G11, Jules Renard and Olivier Plisson.<\/p>\n<p>Another highlight takes place on 24 October at the M\u00e9diath\u00e8que Albert Camus. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Nad\u00e8ge Dauvergne and attend a screening of <em>C\u2019est assez bien d\u2019\u00eatre fou<\/em>, a film directed by Antoine Page.<\/p>\n<p>From 17 October, a new mobile artwork by Ma2thieu Long will also bring urban art beyond conventional surfaces, making the festival even more visible in everyday city life.<\/p>\n<h2>From the Hospital to the Streets: Urban Art Connects with the City<\/h2>\n<p>The ability to bring creativity into unexpected places is one of Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne\u2019s defining characteristics. In 2025, for example, the festival featured major artistic interventions inside the Centre Hospitalier d\u2019Antibes, introducing contemporary art into a healthcare setting.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, the event returns to the urban fabric, reaffirming its mission: to make art accessible, visible and an integral part of shared public spaces.<\/p>\n<p>For visitors, the festival offers an opportunity to discover Antibes from a different perspective, combining a stroll through the city with the search for new artworks and installations. There are no museum tickets or fixed routes to follow. Often, simply taking a different street is enough to encounter a freshly painted mural.<\/p>\n<h2>What to Do in Antibes Until 31 October 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Visitors to the French Riviera in October can add Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne to an itinerary focused on art, culture and urban exploration. Alongside discovering new murals, visitors can attend festival events, explore the exhibition at La sChOOL and take part in activities hosted at the participating cultural venues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coul\u2019Heures d\u2019Automne takes place in Antibes from 17 to 31 October 2026.<\/strong> For opening times, event locations and the latest programme updates, visitors are advised to consult the festival\u2019s official channels before their visit.<\/p>\n<p>For two weeks, Antibes demonstrates that art does not have to be found behind the doors of a gallery.
