The Prince\u2019s Palace of Monaco<\/strong> lit up in red to mark the fifth edition of \u201cSeptembre Rouge\u201d<\/strong>, the awareness campaign dedicated to blood cancers<\/strong>. Through this symbolic gesture, the Principality has renewed its commitment to public health and to improving awareness of haematological diseases.<\/p>\n

Supported by the Government of the Principality of Monaco<\/strong>, the initiative aims to draw public attention to diseases that are often little known, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma<\/strong>, while highlighting the importance of diagnosis, prevention and solidarity through donations.<\/p>\n

Septembre Rouge: a month dedicated to blood cancers<\/h2>\n

\u201cSeptembre Rouge\u201d is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness of blood cancers and the many diseases that fall within the field of haematological oncology.<\/p>\n

Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are very different conditions, both in terms of their characteristics and their progression and treatment options. This diversity can make it more difficult for people to understand the individual diseases and, in some cases, to recognise them.<\/p>\n

The campaign therefore aims to improve public information and encourage greater awareness among citizens and patients, while emphasising the importance of prevention and timely access to appropriate care.<\/p>\n

The importance of blood, platelet and bone marrow donations<\/h2>\n

One of the key messages of \u201cSeptembre Rouge\u201d concerns the value of blood, platelet and bone marrow donations<\/strong>, which are essential resources for many patients affected by haematological diseases.<\/p>\n

In particular, donations and the availability of compatible donors can play a decisive role in the treatment journey of people affected by certain blood cancers. When medically appropriate and possible, a bone marrow transplant<\/strong> can represent an important treatment option.<\/p>\n

Through this awareness campaign, Monaco also aims to remind the public how citizen participation and a strong culture of donation can make a real difference in the lives of many patients.<\/p>\n

Monaco strengthens its commitment to prevention and public health<\/h2>\n

The red illumination of the Prince\u2019s Palace is not merely a symbolic initiative, but part of a broader commitment by the Principality to prevention and public health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Government of Monaco continues to promote initiatives dedicated to the prevention and screening of both communicable and non-communicable diseases, which are considered priorities within the country\u2019s public health strategy.<\/p>\n

This approach is in line with international recommendations on health promotion and the need to invest in prevention, information and early diagnosis.<\/p>\n

With the fifth edition of \u201cSeptembre Rouge\u201d, the Principality of Monaco therefore renews a clear message: increasing awareness of blood cancers, supporting patients and encouraging solidarity through donations remain essential goals in building greater collective awareness.<\/p>\n
