On Saturday, May 23, the Bastion will exceptionally remain open until midnight, offering a program that blends immersive storytelling, live performances and artistic experiences in the heart of the city.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"820\">The event is part of the European Nuit Europ\u00e9enne des Mus\u00e9es, a cultural initiative that each year brings together museums and artistic institutions across Europe with special late-night openings and public events.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"dd5xjm\" data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"893\">At the Bastion in Menton: the narrated tour \u201cLes voyages de Lisbeth\u201d<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1025\">One of the highlights of the evening is \u201cLes voyages de Lisbeth\u201d, a narrated tour scheduled at 7:00 p.m. at the Bastion of Menton.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1212\">Led by V\u00e9ronique St Marcel, the experience offers an immersive journey designed specifically for Museum Night, combining storytelling, atmosphere and the discovery of the museum spaces.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1347\">To prepare for the event, the museum will temporarily close between 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. before reopening for the evening program.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1re0tyh\" data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1416\">Jean Cocteau\u2019s \u201cParade\u201d returns on the Esplanade Francis Palmero<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1613\">From 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Esplanade Francis Palmero will host one of the most anticipated moments of the evening: a reinterpretation of \u201cParade\u201d, the iconic ballet created by Jean Cocteau.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1749\">The performance is presented by Compagnie Specimen, an artistic company led by choreographer Agathe Par\u00e9-Comont and director Arma Lux.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1965\">Through a hybrid artistic language combining contemporary dance, theatre and cinema, the company offers a modern reinterpretation of Cocteau\u2019s work, marked by strong aesthetic research and a poetic visual universe.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"lshy0n\" data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"2022\">Museum open until midnight for European Museum Night<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2185\">Throughout the evening, the Bastion will remain open for free visits until midnight, allowing visitors to experience the museum in a unique nighttime atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2380\">European Museum Night is one of the most important cultural events on the French Riviera, offering immersive experiences that highlight artistic heritage through multidisciplinary performances.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2558\">With this special program, Menton reaffirms its role as a city of culture and creativity, hosting an event that brings together heritage, contemporary art and live performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Menton celebrates the 2026 European Museum Night with a special evening dedicated to art, dance and contemporary culture.
