Since 2021<\/strong>, the Jardin du Chemin des Sculptures<\/strong>, located in the heart of the Fontvieille district, has undergone major waterproofing works<\/strong> carried out by the Administration des Domaines. These interventions were made necessary by the condition of the existing infrastructure<\/strong> and represented a crucial first step in securing the site.<\/p>\n

A new phase now begins with the launch of the landscape redevelopment<\/strong>, led by the Urban Planning Department<\/strong> and designed by Grant & Associates<\/strong>. The project\u2019s ambition is clear: to gradually transform a simple passageway garden into a fully-fledged place to live<\/strong>, more welcoming, more functional and more environmentally responsible.<\/p>\n

\n

A project developed in successive phases<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In order to ensure continuity of use<\/strong> and minimise disruption for residents and visitors<\/strong>, the works will be carried out in stages<\/strong>, divided into three successive zones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    February 2026<\/strong>: start of works on the first half of the garden<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    End of 2026<\/strong>: delivery of this initial phase<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    2027\u20132028<\/strong>: progressive redevelopment of the remaining areas<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This phased approach will make it possible to maintain accessible pathways<\/strong> throughout the duration of the works.<\/p>\n

    \n

    A more natural, cooler and more responsible garden<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The future garden will give a stronger role to plant life<\/strong>, with a planting palette adapted to the local climate<\/strong> and to the challenges of climate change<\/strong>. The aim is to enhance shade<\/strong>, coolness<\/strong> and biodiversity<\/strong>, while improving daily comfort for users.<\/p>\n

    Design choices also favour materials sourced from controlled supply chains<\/strong> and an overall approach that is respectful of the environment<\/strong>. The garden is conceived as a more resilient urban space<\/strong>, contributing to a stronger presence of nature in the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Clear and educational communication throughout the works<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    An information system will accompany the project for its entire duration<\/strong>. On-site banners and panels<\/strong> will present the project and its key design principles.<\/p>\n
