On the occasion of International Women\u2019s Day<\/strong>, the Comit\u00e9 pour la promotion et la protection des droits<\/strong> renews its commitment with the return of the POWHER<\/strong> event, organized together with its partners.<\/p>\n

Now in its third consecutive edition<\/strong>, POWHER 2026<\/strong> will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026<\/strong>, at the Espace L\u00e9o Ferr\u00e9<\/strong>, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM<\/strong>. This year\u2019s theme will explore the life journey of a woman<\/strong> through sports, health, and equality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, the Espace L\u00e9o Ferr\u00e9<\/strong> will be transformed with an original scenography<\/strong>, placing sports at the center<\/strong>. A photo exhibition<\/strong> will highlight the talent and dedication of Monegasque female athletes<\/strong>, offering an inspiring view of women in sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aim of the event is to show the differences that exist in the life cycles of women and men, as well as the inequalities that may result from them<\/strong>,\u201d explains C\u00e9line Cottalorda<\/strong>, Interministerial Delegate for Women\u2019s Rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Throughout the day, numerous Monegasque associations and organizations<\/strong> will be present to offer interactive activities<\/strong>, workshops, and discussion opportunities, answering any questions from the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe event is meant to be both fun and informative<\/strong>, addressing topics such as stereotypes in sports<\/strong>, menstruation<\/strong>, treatment of certain female health issues<\/strong>, the legacy for future generations<\/strong>, and many other subjects,\u201d adds C\u00e9line Cottalorda.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Main Activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\ud83c\udfa8 A unique collective artwork<\/strong>
Artist Mr One Teas<\/strong>, also an ambassador for women\u2019s rights<\/strong>, will create an interactive installation<\/strong> allowing visitors to engage and take home a keepsake.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI wanted to create an installation that echoes a fundamental struggle: equality, carried forward every day by women, in sports and across all areas of society<\/strong>,\u201d explains the artist.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\ud83e\udde9 An interactive treasure hunt<\/strong>
A treasure hunt<\/strong> will guide visitors to discover a secret code<\/strong> needed to reach the finish line, where Mr One Teas\u2019 artwork will be displayed. Clues will be hidden across the different stages of a woman\u2019s life<\/strong>, from childhood to senior years.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcf8 Photo exhibition<\/strong>
Photographer S\u00e9bastien Salamand (Le Turk)<\/strong> will present a photo exhibition<\/strong> dedicated to Monegasque female athletes<\/strong>, featuring six sports: rugby, football, basketball, judo, athletics, and gymnastics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Youth Eloquence Contest to Close the Day<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Youth participation is a priority for the Comit\u00e9. On Friday, March 6, from 6:00 PM<\/strong>, in the National Council Hemicycle<\/strong>, an eloquence contest<\/strong> will take place on the theme:<\/p>\n

\u201cA Story of Equality: From Ego to Equals\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The contest will showcase the voices of high school students from the Principality<\/strong> and will be broadcast live on Monaco Info<\/strong>.
\ud83d\uddd3 Registrations are open until February 15, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
