{"id":27972,"date":"2026-01-21T10:18:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T09:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montecarloliving.com\/?p=27972"},"modified":"2026-01-21T10:18:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T09:18:59","slug":"womens-rights-the-committee-presents-its-7th-annual-report-and-sets-priorities-for-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montecarloliving.com\/en\/actuality\/womens-rights-the-committee-presents-its-7th-annual-report-and-sets-priorities-for-the-future-27972\/","title":{"rendered":"Women\u2019s Rights: the Committee presents its 7th annual report and sets priorities for the future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"832\">On the occasion of its <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"523\">7th plenary meeting<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"593\">Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women\u2019s Rights<\/strong> presented its <strong data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"642\">seventh annual activity report<\/strong>, bringing together <strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"708\">representatives of Monegasque institutions<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"746\">Judicial Services Department<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"766\">State services<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"831\">associations committed to the defence of women\u2019s rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1282\">The meeting, <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"883\">chaired by Isabelle BERRO-AMADE\u00cf<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"959\">Counsellor of Government \u2013 Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation<\/strong>, highlighted the <strong data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1020\">actions carried out throughout the year<\/strong> by the Committee and its members. Exchanges with prominent figures such as <strong data-start=\"1096\" data-end=\"1118\">Dja\u00efli Amadou Amal<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1140\">Isabelle Rome<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1152\">2025<\/strong> made it possible to address <strong data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1199\">new challenges<\/strong>, while strengthening the <strong data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1250\">visibility and impact<\/strong> of the Committee\u2019s initiatives.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1527\">During the plenary session, the <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1383\">Interministerial Delegate for Women\u2019s Rights, C\u00e9line COTTALORDA<\/strong>, presented an overview of the <strong data-start=\"1414\" data-end=\"1442\">key achievements of 2025<\/strong>, a year marked by <strong data-start=\"1461\" data-end=\"1487\">increased mobilisation<\/strong> around <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1526\">strong strategic priorities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"2197\">\n<li data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1630\">\n<p data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1630\"><strong data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1564\">Two major statistical studies<\/strong> focusing on <strong data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1603\">violence against women<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1627\">gender pay gaps<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1948\">\n<p data-start=\"1633\" data-end=\"1948\"><strong data-start=\"1633\" data-end=\"1674\">Two major awareness-raising campaigns<\/strong>: the <strong data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1700\">8 March campaign<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1714\">\u201cPOWHER\u201d<\/strong>, which brought together numerous stakeholders committed to equality, and the <strong data-start=\"1792\" data-end=\"1816\">25 November campaign<\/strong>, addressing the concept of <strong data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"1864\">coercive control<\/strong> through the video <strong data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1898\">\u201cBlack Box\u201d<\/strong>, viewed <strong data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"1929\">over 800,000 times<\/strong> on social media;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"2197\">\n<p data-start=\"1951\" data-end=\"2197\">A <strong data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"2005\">continued strengthening of professional training<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"2012\" data-end=\"2041\">115 professionals trained<\/strong> in the reception and support of <strong data-start=\"2074\" data-end=\"2106\">victims of domestic violence<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2165\">119 civil servants and State employees sensitised<\/strong> to <strong data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2196\">sexism in the workplace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2199\" data-end=\"2427\">On this occasion, <strong data-start=\"2217\" data-end=\"2238\">C\u00e9line COTTALORDA<\/strong> recalled that <strong data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2427\">\u201cknowledge, prevention and training are essential levers for achieving lasting change in practices and mindsets, and for ensuring effective protection of women\u2019s rights.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2429\" data-end=\"2544\">Building on this work, the Committee defined the <strong data-start=\"2478\" data-end=\"2510\">main areas of focus for 2026<\/strong>, centred on <strong data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2543\">clear priorities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2546\" data-end=\"2760\">\n<li data-start=\"2546\" data-end=\"2613\">\n<p data-start=\"2548\" data-end=\"2613\"><strong data-start=\"2548\" data-end=\"2610\">Implementing targeted measures to combat economic violence<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2614\" data-end=\"2760\">\n<p data-start=\"2616\" data-end=\"2760\"><strong data-start=\"2616\" data-end=\"2662\">Continuing and strengthening joint actions<\/strong>, by promoting <strong data-start=\"2677\" data-end=\"2759\">synergies between institutions, State services and civil society organisations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2762\" data-end=\"3041\">The year <strong data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2779\">2026<\/strong> will also provide an opportunity to <strong data-start=\"2816\" data-end=\"2872\">promote national actions in favour of women\u2019s rights<\/strong> before the <strong data-start=\"2884\" data-end=\"2930\">Congress of Local and Regional Authorities<\/strong>, within the framework of the <strong data-start=\"2960\" data-end=\"3040\">Monegasque Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3043\" data-end=\"3510\">In conclusion, <strong data-start=\"3058\" data-end=\"3083\">Isabelle BERRO-AMADE\u00cf<\/strong> emphasised that, while <strong data-start=\"3107\" data-end=\"3154\">real progress has been made internationally<\/strong>, it remains <strong data-start=\"3167\" data-end=\"3189\">uneven and fragile<\/strong>. Despite numerous reforms and improvements achieved over the past <strong data-start=\"3256\" data-end=\"3272\">thirty years<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3274\" data-end=\"3331\">women still do not fully enjoy the same rights as men<\/strong>. She warmly thanked all members and partners of the Committee for their <strong data-start=\"3404\" data-end=\"3430\">continued mobilisation<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"3436\" data-end=\"3464\">quality of their actions<\/strong>, and their <strong data-start=\"3476\" data-end=\"3509\">commitment to gender equality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3512\"
