The <strong data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"506\">Fight AIDS Cup<\/strong> returns on <strong data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"552\">Saturday 24 January at 3:30 pm<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"578\">Stade Louis II<\/strong>, as part of the prestigious <strong data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"655\">International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo<\/strong>. Now in its <strong data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"685\">sixth edition<\/strong>, the gala match promises spectacle, emotion and a strong message of solidarity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"767\" data-end=\"1236\">Remaining true to the spirit that has defined it since its creation, the match will once again see the <strong data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"895\">Barbagiuans of Monaco<\/strong> face the <strong data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"918\">Cirque FC<\/strong>, in an atmosphere combining competition, celebration and generosity. This unique sporting event raises funds for <strong data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1053\">Fight AIDS Monaco<\/strong>, the association founded and chaired by <strong data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1123\">H.S.H. Princess St\u00e9phanie<\/strong>, who has been actively involved for over twenty years in the fight against HIV and in supporting those affected.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1286\">A line-up of legends for a universal message<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1748\">Led by <strong data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1312\">Louis Ducruet<\/strong>, President of the Barbagiuans of Monaco and organiser of the event, numerous legends of international football will take to the pitch at Stade Louis II. Among the confirmed names are <strong data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1517\">Andriy Shevchenko<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1534\">Eden Hazard<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1556\">Clarence Seedorf<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1580\">Christian Karembeu<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1601\">Baf\u00e9timbi Gomis<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1625\">Youri Djorkaeff<\/strong>. An exceptional cast, blending iconic figures with new faces, which underlines the growing prestige of the Fight AIDS Cup.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1750\" data-end=\"2254\">Originally composed exclusively of former AS Monaco players, the Barbagiuans took a significant step forward in 2025 by opening their ranks to major international stars. A strategic evolution, as explained by Louis Ducruet:<br data-start=\"1973\" data-end=\"1976\" \/>\u201cThis was one of our key development goals. We are proud to see the squad growing and the values of the Barbagiuans resonating with players beyond Monaco. The upcoming Fight AIDS Cup will further strengthen our commitment to integrating new members into the Barbagiuans family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2256\" data-end=\"2581\">Fans will have the opportunity to see <strong data-start=\"2294\" data-end=\"2309\">Eden Hazard<\/strong>, the recently retired Belgian international, making his first-ever appearance in this charity match, alongside <strong data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2440\">Baf\u00e9timbi Gomis<\/strong>. Regular participants such as <strong data-start=\"2471\" data-end=\"2487\">Robert Pir\u00e8s<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2509\">Ludovic Giuly<\/strong> will also be present, all playing under the captaincy of Louis Ducruet.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2583\" data-end=\"2641\">Cirque FC: Italian influence and Shevchenko as captain<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2643\" data-end=\"3025\">For this sixth edition, <strong data-start=\"2667\" data-end=\"2680\">Cirque FC<\/strong> will showcase a strong Italian influence, featuring several former players who left their mark on Italy\u2019s top championships. This choice aims to strengthen the ties between the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo and the Italian public, which has long shown strong support for the Principality\u2019s initiatives promoting essential values.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3027\" data-end=\"3566\">At the heart of the team will be <strong data-start=\"3060\" data-end=\"3081\">Andriy Shevchenko<\/strong>, wearing the captain\u2019s armband. Ballon d\u2019Or winner in 2004, UEFA Champions League winner with AC Milan in 2003 and current President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Shevchenko will take part in the Fight AIDS Cup for the first time.<br data-start=\"3321\" data-end=\"3324\" \/>\u201cI was invited by the Princely Family to take part in this major event. It is a real honour to support their work in raising awareness about the fight against HIV and helping people in need,\u201d he said, highlighting the importance of the cause.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3568\" data-end=\"3619\">A sporting challenge\u2026 but above all a human one<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3621\" data-end=\"4131\">While the charitable dimension remains central, the sporting rivalry is very real. After five editions, <strong data-start=\"3725\" data-end=\"3738\">Cirque FC<\/strong> leads the head-to-head record with <strong data-start=\"3774\" data-end=\"3792\">four victories<\/strong>, compared to a single win for the Barbagiuans. Determined to reverse the trend, Louis Ducruet is clear about his ambitions:<br data-start=\"3916\" data-end=\"3919\" \/>\u201cWe tasted victory in 2022 and it was a fantastic memory. With so many legends on the pitch, the competitive instinct quickly comes back. We will do everything we can to win\u2014and avoid the jokes for another year!\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4133\" data-end=\"4332\">Yet for both teams, the true objective goes beyond the final score. Thanks to this event and other solidarity initiatives, the <strong data-start=\"4542\" data-end=\"4624\">Barbagiuans have surpassed the symbolic milestone of one million euros donated<\/strong>, becoming <strong data-start=\"4635\" data-end=\"4672\">Fight AIDS Monaco\u2019s leading donor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4675\" data-end=\"5031\">This commitment is praised by <strong data-start=\"4705\" data-end=\"4727\">Christophe Glasser<\/strong>, Director of Fight AIDS Monaco:<br data-start=\"4759\" data-end=\"4762\" \/>\u201cThe Fight AIDS Cup represents far more than a sporting event.
