The event will take place on <strong data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"710\">Thursday, 2 April 2026<\/strong>, at the prestigious Club headquarters, and once again stands out as one of the most anticipated events in the world of luxury yachting.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"1157\">Conceived and organised by <strong data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"902\">La Belle Classe Academy<\/strong>, the Y.C.M.\u2019s training centre, the competition pays tribute to one of the most essential figures on board: the chef. These professionals turn cooking at sea into a refined experience, playing a decisive role in delivering excellence aboard luxury yachts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1725\">Presiding over the 2026 edition will be <strong data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1221\">Philippe Etchebest<\/strong>, two-Michelin-starred chef and <em data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1281\">Meilleur Ouvrier de France<\/em>, an iconic figure in French gastronomy. His presence further enhances the prestige of a competition that has established itself over the years as a true talent incubator. Organisation is handled by the Yacht Club de Monaco team under the supervision of <strong data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1555\">Philippe Joann\u00e8s<\/strong>, the Club\u2019s culinary consultant, and <strong data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1615\">Chef Simon Ganache<\/strong>, Head of Events, with the support of <strong data-start=\"1653\" data-end=\"1671\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ramos<\/strong>, President of the Monaco Go\u00fbt et Saveurs association.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"2119\">Being a chef aboard a superyacht means facing daily challenges: limited workspace, restricted storage capacity, fluctuating supplies depending on cruising routes, and an international clientele with high expectations. A rapidly expanding sector, with around <strong data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"2027\">11,000 yachts over 24 metres worldwide<\/strong> and thousands of chefs embarking each year, many of whom come from fine-dining backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2121\" data-end=\"2261\">The Superyacht Chef Competition is fully aligned with the vision of <strong data-start=\"2189\" data-end=\"2231\">\u201cMonaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting\u201d<\/strong>, pursuing a dual objective:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2489\">\n<li data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2319\">\n<p data-start=\"2264\" data-end=\"2319\">to highlight chefs as ambassadors of luxury yachting;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2320\" data-end=\"2489\">\n<p data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2489\">to inspire new vocations in a sector rich in career opportunities, ranging from service and sommellerie to bartending, provisioning and onboard hospitality management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2491\" data-end=\"2631\">The competition will take place under realistic onboard conditions, following a short but highly demanding format. Participants will face:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"2898\">\n<li data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"2696\">\n<p data-start=\"2634\" data-end=\"2696\">a mystery basket revealed just moments before the challenge;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2697\" data-end=\"2737\">\n<p data-start=\"2699\" data-end=\"2737\">five minutes to design their recipe;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2738\" data-end=\"2801\">\n<p data-start=\"2740\" data-end=\"2801\">mandatory use of all ingredients, with penalties for waste;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2802\" data-end=\"2853\">\n<p data-start=\"2804\" data-end=\"2853\">a surprise ingredient selected by the audience;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2854\" data-end=\"2898\">\n<p data-start=\"2856\" data-end=\"2898\">a special award for the best presentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2900\" data-end=\"3091\">An intense test designed to showcase the essential qualities of an onboard chef: creativity, adaptability, precision, respect for ingredients and the ability to manage logistical constraints.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3093\" data-end=\"3393\">Since 2015, <strong data-start=\"3105\" data-end=\"3132\">La Belle Classe Academy<\/strong> has offered training programmes dedicated to the art of onboard service, including the internationally certified <strong data-start=\"3246\" data-end=\"3270\">IAMI GUEST programme<\/strong>.
