\ud83c\udfac Short Comedy Award 2025<\/h2>\n

Sparkling stories that make you smile and think<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

The 22nd edition of the MonteCarlo Film Festival de la Com\u00e9die<\/strong>, the only international festival entirely dedicated to comedy<\/strong>, conceived and chaired by Ezio Greggio<\/strong>, will take place from November 12 to 15, 2025<\/strong>, in the Principality of Monaco<\/strong>.
This year\u2019s program presents seven films in competition<\/strong>, an international selection<\/strong> celebrating the many forms of cinematic storytelling.<\/p>\n

Once again, the festival will be hosted in the prestigious Grimaldi Forum in Monte-Carlo<\/strong>, where screenings and meetings<\/strong> with leading figures from Argentine, Cuban, Algerian, German, Danish, Italian, Spanish, and French cinema<\/strong> will take place, culminating in the traditional Gala Awards Night<\/strong> on Saturday, November 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Opening Film: Homo Argentum<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The festival opens with Homo Argentum<\/em><\/strong>, a dark comedy by the duo Cohn & Duprat<\/strong> (previously in Monte-Carlo in 2022 with Official Competition<\/em>), composed of 16 stories performed by Guillermo Francella<\/strong>, who explores with sharp irony the vices and virtues of modern society<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The seven competing films<\/strong> address key themes of our time\u2014dictatorships, freedom, food as a symbol of emancipation, family, and human relationships\u2014always viewed through an ironic or satirical lens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
