The Biennale of Contemporary Sacred Art (BACS)<\/strong> is now in full swing in Menton, running from October 1 to 31, 2025<\/strong>, at the Palace des Ambassadeurs<\/strong> and the Marabini-Martac Museum<\/strong>.
This year\u2019s central theme, \u201cForgiveness,\u201d<\/strong> invites artists and visitors to explore one of humanity\u2019s most profound and universal values through the transformative power of art.<\/p>\n

\n

Art as a Bridge Between Spirituality and Modernity<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Biennale was founded with the goal of fostering dialogue between faith and creativity<\/strong>, inspiring spiritual reflection through all forms of contemporary artistic expression \u2014 from painting and sculpture to photography and multimedia installations.
Affiliated with the Mirabile Dictu \u2013 International Catholic Film Festival<\/strong>, the BACS shares the same mission: to spread messages of hope, beauty, and reconciliation through art<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Growing International Event<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Following the remarkable success of its 2021 edition \u2014 which featured 214 international artists<\/strong>, attracted over 4,000 visitors<\/strong>, and resulted in numerous art sales \u2014 the Biennale confirms in 2025 its prominent role in the European art scene<\/strong>.
Several artists who previously exhibited in Menton were later selected for the Venice Biennale<\/strong>, underscoring the event\u2019s growing prestige and artistic credibility.<\/p>\n

A Project That Lives All Year Long<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even in non-Biennale years, the BACS continues its mission through the \u201cArtists in Residence\u201d<\/strong> program, which welcomes creators from around the world.
In 2024<\/strong>, the residency hosted Kim Boulukos (USA)<\/strong> and Brian Finch (United Kingdom)<\/strong>, providing them with workspace and opportunities for creative and cultural exchange with the local community.<\/p>\n
