Monaco Leads the Ecological Transition: Culture, Science, and Investment for a Sustainable Future<\/strong><\/p>\n

From June 4 to 8, 2025<\/strong>, the Principality of Monaco becomes a global hub for environmental innovation and action with two key events: the third edition of the Green Shift Festival<\/strong> and the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF)<\/strong>. These gatherings reflect Monaco\u2019s dual commitment to green transition and ocean preservation, reinforcing its role as a leader in environmental and sustainable finance.<\/p>\n

Green Shift Festival: Three Days to Rethink Tomorrow<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation<\/strong>, the Green Shift Festival will take place along the Larvotto Promenade<\/strong>, at Place Anne-Marie Campora<\/strong>, blending science, creativity, and civic engagement in a vibrant public space.<\/p>\n

    June 5 \u2013 \u201cAt the Heart of Living\u201d<\/strong>
    A deep dive into the human-nature connection, featuring Marianne Leenart, Fran\u00e7ois Sarano, and Laurent Tillon (in partnership with Actes Sud).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    June 6 \u2013 \u201cMusic & Ecology\u201d<\/strong>
    A poetic fusion of sound and sustainability with Tom Frager, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Vogelsinger, Arthur Lecercle, and Magali Payen (with Music for Planet).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Each day begins with wellness sessions<\/strong> (breathwork, qigong, sound therapy), in collaboration with the Kate Powers Foundation<\/strong>. From 6:00 PM, visitors can enjoy \u201cconscious happy hours\u201d<\/strong>, featuring:<\/p>\n

      On June 6 at 6:00 PM<\/strong>, the 2025 Environmental Photography Prize<\/strong> will be celebrated with a special opening reception, featuring the winner and jury members.<\/p>\n

      All festival events are free and open to the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Blue Economy and Finance Forum: Monaco at the Core of Ocean Finance<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      On June 7\u20138<\/strong>, the Grimaldi Forum<\/strong> will host the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF)<\/strong>, an official side event of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3)<\/strong>. Co-organized by the Government of Monaco<\/strong>, the Oceanographic Institute<\/strong>, and the Prince Albert II Foundation<\/strong>, and supported by France<\/strong> and Costa Rica<\/strong>, the forum aims to boost public and private investment in a regenerative blue economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      It seeks to fund ocean protection projects while promoting sustainable economic growth. The forum will conclude on June 8<\/strong> with keynote speeches by:<\/p>\n

        The week will culminate in Nice<\/strong>, from June 9 to 13<\/strong>, with the official United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3)<\/strong>\u2014a high-level international summit focused on marine conservation and sustainable finance.<\/p>\n

        Its outcome will be a joint declaration titled the \u201cNice Ocean Action Plan\u201d<\/strong>, a global call to unite efforts for ocean protection.<\/p>\n

        With these back-to-back events, Monaco confirms its position as a global beacon for sustainable transformation<\/strong>, where innovation, diplomacy, and culture converge in response to climate change.<\/p>\n
