These films stand out for their unique forms, innovative narrative systems, and alternative production and distribution processes. For the 2024-2025 season, the <em data-start=\"347\" data-end=\"369\">Tout l&#8217;art du cin\u00e9ma<\/em> program of the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco and the NMNM will feature Hala Elkoussy\u2019s film <em data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"478\">East of Noon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"919\">With <em data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"500\">East of Noon<\/em>, Hala Elkoussy immerses us in a story that blends elements of popular fairy tales, between <em data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"621\">One Thousand and One Nights<\/em> and <em data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"635\">Ubu Roi<\/em>, where extraordinary young figures try to survive the autocracy of a childish tyrant. Elkoussy\u2019s second feature film stands out for its unusual and eccentric form within African and Arab cinema, evoking the aesthetics of the classics of the &#8217;60s and &#8217;70s.\u201d \u2014 Firouz Pillet, May 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1028\">In the first part of the event, Hala Elkoussy will present her work both as a director and a visual artist.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1210\">The screening of <em data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1061\">East of Noon<\/em> (2024) will take place on Tuesday, April 1st, at 7:00 PM at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Vari\u00e9t\u00e9s, 1 Boulevard Albert Ier, Monaco, with the artist in attendance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NMNM and the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco have chosen to join forces to present works by artists who operate at the intersection of cinema and contemporary art.
