A new exhibition has been inaugurated at the Maison de la Nature, located within the Parc de la Grande Corniche in \u00c8ze. Titled “Biodiversit\u00e9 mon tr\u00e9sor”<\/em>, the exhibition is open to the public until Sunday, March 30, 2025, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the unique environment of the park and its wildlife species.<\/p>\n

The Natura 2000 site of the Corniches de la Riviera, in the southeast of France, comprises a series of mountain ranges, scenic terraces, and coastlines that represent a valuable natural heritage. The Alpes-Maritimes Department is actively engaged in the preservation of this area, which hosts extraordinary biodiversity.<\/p>\n

The particular ecology of the Corniches de la Riviera is of global significance, especially for the protection of numerous endemic species, such as the emblematic Niv\u00e9ola de Nice, whose presence led to the area being designated as a Natura 2000 site.<\/p>\n

As part of the Green Deal, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Development, promotes an educational and engaging exploration of biodiversity. Biodiversity, a term combining “diversity” and “biological,” refers to the vast variety of life forms on Earth, from microorganisms to mammals, including insects, plants, and the ecosystems where they live, such as forests, oceans, mountains, rivers, and even cities.<\/p>\n

Essential for human survival, biodiversity impacts every aspect of our daily lives, from food and clothing to housing and entertainment. However, the increasing human demand is threatening natural resources and accelerating biodiversity loss. To address these challenges, many institutions are implementing strategies to protect the environment. Protecting biodiversity remains a responsibility for all of us.\"\"<\/p>\n

The Maison de la Nature is open free of charge from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays, with access for people with reduced mobility, including parking and a ramp. Opening hours are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
