On Wednesday, October 9th, the opening of the 18th edition of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Youth Council (CESE) took place, in the presence of Mr. Jean-Philippe VINCI, Director of National Education, Youth, and Sports, Mrs. Caroline ROUGAIGNON-VERNIN, President of the CESE, Mr. Michel GRAMAGLIA, Vice President of the CESE, Mrs. Christine GIOLITTI, Vice President of the CESE, the principals of the Albert 1er, Fran\u00e7ois d’Assise Nicolas Barr\u00e9, and Rainier III High Schools, as well as the reference teachers from these institutions who coordinate the student groups.<\/p>\n

Based on voluntary participation, the CESE for Youth allows high school students enrolled in the Principality, of all nationalities, to make their voices heard in public debate by developing proposal projects that, after debate and voting by their peers, will be submitted to the country’s authorities.<\/p>\n

The Secretariat and CESE counselors support these young students by organizing meetings with public or private stakeholders to gather the information necessary for drafting their projects. It also provides a way for them to discover the workings and mechanisms of public governance.<\/p>\n

The work of this 18th edition will take place throughout the year and will conclude in May with the presentation session of the proposals.<\/p>\n

Since its creation, 71 proposals have been adopted. Some of them have been highly successful with the authorities, such as the sensory therapeutic gardens at CRIII or the City Stade on the esplanade des p\u00eacheurs, both of which originated from the youth CESE’s proposals.<\/p>\n

In total, more than 580 high school students have participated in this experience. This year, for its 18th edition, 41 young councilors, accompanied by their reference teachers, are embarking on this adventure.<\/p>\n

It is worth recalling that the Economic, Social, and Environmental Youth Council was created in November 2007, at the initiative of the CESE and implemented in close collaboration with the Directorate of National Education, Youth, and Sports.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
