You have a great opportunity: to get rid of the many phones that lie unused in drawers, now outdated, possibly broken, and definitely useless.<\/p>\n

Whether it’s old cell phones or smartphones, they are no longer needed: they only take up space.<\/p>\n

The M\u00e9tropole Nice C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur and the City of Nice, in collaboration with Ecosystem, have organized a large charitable collection of old cell phones until July 15, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The goal of this collection is to enable Ecosystem, an eco-sustainable organization committed to extending the life of electrical devices, to donate 100 phones to integration centers that help people in great difficulty.<\/p>\n

An official partner of the Tour de France for the fifth consecutive year, Ecosystem is using this event to organize an extraordinary collection. The goal? To recover 46 million unused cell phones lying in our drawers and to remind everyone that electrical and electronic equipment can be repaired, donated, or, if necessary, recycled.<\/p>\n

More than 6 out of 10 French people say they keep an old phone due to a lack of knowledge of solutions to give it a second life and fear that personal data may be disclosed or stored.<\/p>\n

This great initiative offers citizens a concrete and convenient solution to make a charitable and environmental gesture with their old cell phones. Moreover, Ecosystem guarantees donors that every phone will be cleared of all personal data contained within it, in the strictest respect for confidentiality.<\/p>\n

Five city schools are mobilizing for this great challenge, involving 1,318 students in the collection. The refurbished phones will be handed over during an official ceremony at the Tour de France village in Nice.<\/p>\n

To participate in this civic mobilization, simply visit one of the 22 collection points or go to www.jedonnemontelephone.fr<\/a>. The collected phones will then be repaired or recycled in compliance with French environmental standards.<\/p>\n
